Wei Gallery is pleased to announce a new book co-edited with Chinese artist Tan Ping, "Tan Ping 1972-2022" has been released on 31 May 2023.
Starting from 2020, Wei Gallery hopes to set an important milestone in his art career by editing a collection of art documentation for him, "Tan Ping 1972-2022", which is also a testimony of Wei Gallery and Tan Ping's perseverance in the artistic journey in the three tough years since the outbreak of the epidemic.
“Tan Ping 1972-2022” is a chronological collection of artworks from Tan Ping's half-century-long artistic career. Mediums of the works include sketches, watercolour, prints, copper prints, charcoal, oil paintings, and acrylic, etc. The art documentation collection is collated and compiled by Chatham Maison Archive Centre for publication.
In addition, on behalf of the Tan Ping team, Wei Gallery is delighted to announce that the artist's official website www.tanpingstudio.com is finally launched to the public. After more than two years of planning, editing, and testing by Wei Gallery and Tan Ping Studio, the website aims to provide a platform to showcase the artists' works, related exhibitions, and documentary materials for the general audience, and to prepare for more collaborative research with the Chatham Maison Art Research and Exchange Centre in the future through continuous compiling and archiving.
