Jin Riloing was born in Tumen, Jilin province in China in 1962. He is currently a professor and doctoral advisor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. Inspired by the Dunhuang Grottoes murals, Jin decided to explore the expressiveness of painting, created oil paintings that have a sense of music and a style of freehand brushwork. His creation journey started from realistic painting to freehand brushwork to abstract painting. The book shows Jin’s artworks in recent years including acrylic paintings and installation. Exploring the spirit improvised expression of feelings from the traditional ethnic arts.
